The courses are paved, rolling, and free from most - but not all - vehicular traffic. All courses are very scenic and take participants past many of the Park's historic sites, monuments and markers. Please keep safety in mind at all times. Participants are responsible for knowing the course. Please obey the instructions of Park Rangers and race officials at all times. Runners are responsible for their own safety at all times. Although vehicular traffic is usually light, the Park's roads remain open to vehicles during the race. Jog/Baby Srollers are NOT allowed in the 15k and 5K events, but are very much encouraged on the Scenic Walk.
