The Kiddie K is a fun part of The Chickamauga Chase for children ages 9 & under. The distance is one kilometer, approximately .62 miles. Kiddie K'ers should line up at the start at the very rear of the mass start. They will NOT go with the starting gun, but instead will start their run a few minutes after the mass start. The Kiddie K route will go south, opposite the direction of the mass start , for approximately a quarter of a mile, turnaround and run back to the main race finish line in the staging area below the Wilder Tower. The route is well-monitored to keep the children on course and encouraged throughout their race. All Kiddie K finishers receive a Civil War themed prize.
